Energy . Tensegrity . Mobility

As a Soma Neuromuscular Integration® (SNI®) practitioner my intention is to facilitate balance within the body. Structural integration allows for optimal mobility by promoting levity within the structure, providing freedom from pain, enhancing postural alignment and invoking connection between mind, body and movement.

Sessions look like a postural assessment where I look for holding patterns and postural imbalance in your structure. The hands on portion of your session is massage like stokes that assist deep tissue fascial alignment. Fascia is the main focus of this practice, a liquid crystalline matrix that supports all of our muscles and bones through a tensegrity network of connective tissues that communicate through a Piezoelectric charge. This fascia takes on a '“gel like” state when disruption or “trauma” has occurred. Working the tissue brings it back to a more liquid state where its pliability allows the fascia to uphold its tensegrity. Tensegrity is a concept that looks at optimal alignment as a balance of tension and compression through the system that harmonizes to allow healthy posture and optimized movement. This transformative practice is then followed by movement education where you try out the new alignment of your body. I provide stretches and after care movements that aid the integration of this balanced state as well as a bit of homework to get you thinking about the unseen effects of a session that come from freeing up old patterns and creating space for growth in your mind and body.
